用免费软件替代MS Project（2006-06-19）

微软提供了visio, word, ppt的viewer，唯独没有project viewer.而多数人只是查看mpp（MS Project）文件，而非编辑。为此装一个project，太不值得（无论是体积还是价格）。
最好的方案，当然是制作mpp文件的人，开明一些，为他人着想一些，转化为htm或pdf（至少excel）格式；如果他们没有这样做，只好我们想办法了。
下面依次介绍几款相关软件。（按推荐程程度）

GanttProject：第一推荐 开源软件

此软件是本文评论中的“放弃盗版”兄推荐的。以前也搜到过，但未正式提及查看（实为导入）mpp文件，所以未曾留意。加上8～9MB的体积（当然比MS Project苗条多了），更没有下载试用。
今天因RCarlos兄问及，试了一下，惊为极品，乃列为首荐。
主页：http://ganttproject.sourceforge.net
下载：10MB for Windows 目前版本2.0.1
安装：不需要，zip文件
运行：双击 ganttproject.bat
再补充一些感性过程吧：
下载解压后，没看到exe，心里真有些迷茫，google了一下，找到另有人问同样的问题，才明白。双击 ganttproject.bat，出现一个cmd运行框，然后，漂亮的主界面（当然是图形化的）就呈现眼前了。
打开文件——只能打开gan和xml格式。
导入文件——可以导入gan/txt/mpp（就是MS Project）文件，如下图

HD Projette：不到1MB，超值共享软件
----------------------------------------------------------------------
它需要.NET环境，安装文件超小，这一点极好——只有600K。
主页在 http://www.highlydeveloped.net
但遗憾的是，它不是freeware，在30天试用期过后，启动软件会提醒“HD Projette is NOT free software”，但也并无技术限制。
但它的价格也非常便宜，仅10美元。如果迷恋其小巧，不妨注册一下。
HD Projette" is a Microsoft Project plan viewer enabling read only viewing of Microsoft Project project plan files (.MPP).
Projette is capable of reading files created by Microsoft Project 2000 and 2003, and does not require a previous installation of Microsoft Project.
Note: Some features discussed in this manual are not available in the Shareware version of Projette. These features are identified where appropriate. If you wish to enjoy the full functionality of Projette you may wish to consider registering the product.
A full Projette license is now available to purchase under the Shareware licensing model. A single license costs only $10.

它是Smartworks Project Planner软件的查看器，并不能直接看mpp。但有一个免费的MPP2PPR软件，可以把MPP转成ppr，然后，就能用它打开了。
不过，既然有了上面更好的推荐方案，何必这么麻烦——我也没有下载试用过。

Project Planner Reader is a FREE software that supports viewing of plan created using SmartWorks Project Planner helping project managers to share their projects amongst others who do not have Project Planner software Project Plan created using SmartWorks Project Planner can be saved in .PPR format.

Hence Project Planner Reader can be used to share the project plan created by SmartWorks Project Planner and MS-Project

有多个平台的版本。
有Pro版/lite版/free版。体积都是17MB。
但它有一个致命缺点，就是对中文字符无法显示
